AMI Analytics for Transformer Health: A Case Study at Southern Company

This project explores the possibility of using meter data linked to transformers to determine transformer health. The scope of this project consisted of 100 pole mounted transformers located in different divisions across Alabama Power. The goal of the project is to use the results of the data to be able to aid in reducing O&M expenses while also giving insight into the health of the individual transformers and how to implement cost savings to plan for replacement of transformers that may be failing.
